About Me

Diane Dobson
In 1996, myself and six other artists opened Portside Gallery in Port Stanley, Ontario. 19 years later, there are still three original members and a total of 19 artists showing there. See the link to Portside. Art and the natural world are my passions, so together these two interests meld easily into artwork depicting nature and landscapes. Over the year, watercolour, oils, acrylic, and mixed media and collage are the tools I have used to create my artwork. Some of the shows that I have had the privilege of participating in include: Juried Shows at Art Gallery of Lambton, St. Thomas Public Art Centre, Woodstock Art Gallery; club shows at the Lambeth Art Association, St. Thomas Elgin Art Guild, and the Port Stanley Artists’ Guild annual shows and sales. I have been fortunate enough to have won awards at these shows over the years. For several exhibitions, I have received the Ontario Art Council Exhibition Assistance Grant.
